The Jazztown USA Development Corp mission is:
CEO, Dr. William Doc Jones is a Educator, Business Owner, Professional Jazz Musician called to serve the music community. His foundation includes creating International Jazz Day Festivals, Afterschool Music Program, and advocacy for getting Arizona to pass a Bill declaring April “Jazz Appreciation Month” and April 30th “International Jazz Day”. He is most passionate about issues that impact Jazz Musicians and their housing. Dr. Jones has provided Int’l Jazz Day AZ Festivals for the past 8 years in Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale as well as Alamos Sonora Mexico, his Afterschool programs for over 20 years. As the Executive Director and Founder of the International Jazz Day AZ Foundation, his foundation has provided free music lesson for Youth At Risk also every year free lunches for 300 to 500 seniors at his Jazz At Lunch Time Concert at the state capital. Jones has expanded to develop affordable housing to Jazz musicians and their. Dr. Jones is also involved in creating Music publications 3 State and 2 countries. |

Project Scope
The project scope is to create construct, and maintain affordable housing units for “low income Jazz & Blues Musicians” individuals and families. Project scope will include support and wrap-around services, including employment counseling and training, substance abuse and metal health referral services, professional property management and property maintenance engagement and training, building and a mandatory HOP (Home Ownership Program).
Phase I of this project will provide 15-30 transitional housing units with wrap around services imbedded in the new community, for a period of 24-36 months. Individuals and families in transitional housing units that meet the HOP criteria

The Primary requirement for obtaining Low-cost housing is to show proof of below- average income. You must also show your living situation is undesirable.Our Foundation has to take in to consideration that Musicians most times why they get gigs it not on regular basics, but they make good money when they do work. So we will need to make sure we have a rental assistant program in place.
